Flex-E Technology for Great PCI-E Flexibility

The ASUS Flex-E Technology provides the flexibility to auto-switch between 1 PCI-E x16 link (Graphic card supported) and 2 PCI-E x8 link (for I/O expansion), allowing the customers to use PCI-E link flexibly, which allows these products to work as workstation or servers.

In order to upgrade from SATA storage to SAS directly, ASUS recommends customers to use its optional PIKE Upgrade Kit, which is compatible with its new products. With PIKE, slim-sized and flexible storage options for customers can be achieved when upgrading directly to SAS RAID with multiple I/O solutions, without sacrificing expansion capabilities.
